One day Dali bike tour on west side of Erhai Lake

Depart 8:30am every morning at West Gate of Old Dali town.
Schedule:
Riders will meet at West Gate with their own bike. We will start our ride to Three Pagodas which is great for photos, and continue to a village near the lake. From here we will ride along the west bank of The lake, through several Bai ethnic villages with schools, temples and farms and observe the life of the traditional Bai villager and see their way of life. About 10:30 am we will arrive at the famous town of Xizhou where we will visit the morning vegetable market. We will explore this market and then visit an old house which still retains its old traditional character. After this we will continue to ride towards our final destination, Shacun village where we will enjoy cormorant fishing for about one hour before we return using the same route back to Dali.

This tour uses pedal power (no car or bus support) so you can fully appreciate your surroundings. The total distance covered for the day is about 45Kms (28miles), with the terrain made up of flat and gently rolling hills.
You will need to bring your own bike, and these can be rented from your guesthouse or from bike hire shops. Rental is 25 to 50RMB. Please check that all is in working order before you join our tour. We suggest you hire your bike the day before as some shops may not be open before our tour commences.
Other items to bring:
Besides your bike, we suggest you bring sunscreen, wet weather gear, bottle water and a light backpack. Wear comfortable clothing.

We suggest that only children over 16 years of age join the tour as the distance is 45 km. For safety and quality of the tour we limit our tour to a maximum number of 8 people. Booking time for this tour finishes at 8pm one day before your desired date. To secure your place in this trip, We require that all participants to pay in full when you receive our notification of confirmation. One day bike tour around Erhai Lake Dali
Depart 8:00A.M every morning ﹠At West gate Schedule: Riders will meet at the West gate (Xi Men) located in Dali old town at 8:00A.M. We will travel by vehicle to the ancient town of Xizhou where we will spend some time exploring, and visit a traditional Bai house. We will experience a market where local people come to purchase and sell vegetables, fruit, flowers, and many other items used in their daily lives. The market is a kaleidoscope of colors and provides great photo opportunities. We will then be transported to a temple rarely visited by tourists, where our bicycle ride begins. As we ride toward and by beautiful blue Erhai Lake, we will cycle past temples, through villages, and past large fields of vegetables tended by villagers. After lunch at Wase, a fishing village, we continue biking to the Sky Mirror Pavilion. We then relax on a boat cruise to the other side of the lake as we return to Dali. (The other option is we directly drive back to Dali old town to fully appreciate the east side of the lake by car). You will see a China that has captured the imagination of poets and artists for centuries. Cost: 600 RMB for a group of only one participant 400 RMB per person for a group size of two 350 RMB per person for a group size of 3 to 10. The riding distance is approximately 45 km incorporating both rolling hills and flat terrain. Although a support vehicle will be available, participants should be in reasonable physical condition. If you have never ridden a bicycle, this trip may not be for you. If you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, arthritis, respiratory problems, diabetes, suffer as a result of obesity, or other chronic disorders, you should consult with a physician regarding your ability to safely bicycle 45 km. This trip is designed for individuals that have moderate bicycling skills and desire a relaxed pace that allows time for taking photographs and experiencing the people and sights of rural China.
